Hi, I'm Jo Yiannakis
Physiotherapist
Jo is a passionate and experienced physiotherapist who takes pride in delivering personalised care to help her clients move and feel their best. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University in 2009, Jo has worked exclusively in private practice and developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal and sports injury management.
Her clinical interests include back and neck pain, headaches, and lower limb conditions such as knee and ankle injuries. She has also completed extensive postgraduate training in shoulder rehabilitation, dry needling, Clinical Pilates, and paediatrics — giving her a diverse skill set to support clients of all ages.
Jo believes in a hands-on and evidence-based approach to care, tailoring each treatment plan to suit the individual. Her sessions may include a combination of dry needling, manual therapy, joint mobilisation, strength and conditioning, and Pilates-based rehabilitation.
As a certified Level 4 Pilates instructor with Dance Medicine Australia (DMA), Jo can design customised Pilates programs for individuals or groups. Her postgraduate qualifications also include a Certificate in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics) from Melbourne University, and she has a special interest in working with infants and children experiencing conditions such as plagiocephaly, torticollis, developmental delay, and paediatric musculoskeletal concerns.
Known for her approachable and supportive style, Jo values building strong relationships with her clients. She’s committed to empowering people with the tools and knowledge they need to manage their condition and reach their goals — making every session engaging, interactive, and outcome-focused.
Outside of the clinic, Jo enjoys keeping active with Pilates and gym workouts, and unwinding with a good film at the cinema.
