Hi, I'm Hideaki Edo

Physiotherapist

Hideaki’s journey as a physiotherapist began in Japan and his commitment to further enhancing his knowledge and skills musculoskeletal physiotherapy led him to complete a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal Major) at Curtin University.

He has a keen clinical interest in spinal pain, including lower back pain, thoracic pain, neck pain, and cervicogenic headaches. He also has extensive experience in post-operative orthopaedics and neurological conditions and takes immense satisfaction in helping individuals overcome these challenges. With his deep understanding for all musculoskeletal conditions, he employs a variety of treatment techniques such as joint mobilisation and manipulation, dry needling, and tailored exercises for addressing daily occupational and sports related injuries and helping his clients overcome these challenges. These conditions present unique challenges, but he relishes the opportunity to collaborate with his clients and make incremental improvements in their lives.

“When you see a person can do basic things that he or she couldn’t do before like bending over to pick up something or standing up from a chair without pain, that small change can lead to a bigger effect later on. I love when people see the possibilities and hope in themselves.”

Fluent in Japanese, Hideaki offers personalised care and communication to his Japanese-speaking clients, ensuring they feel understood and valued. He is also an integral part of our mentorship program at HBF Physio by Life Ready, using his highly-skilled knowledge to support our next generation physiotherapists.

Outside of work, Hideaki is a passionate photographer with a penchant for capturing nature, landscapes, wildlife, and his travel adventures. His creativity and eye for detail extend beyond the clinic, enriching his life and the lives of those around him.
